If you go the MySQL route, you can read/write your MySQL tables directly
from VFP via ODBC and SQL pass thru. You would use PHP to handle the
data entry and presentation web side.
I like this idea. Allows you to have an existing VFP system while
creating a new PHP web based equivalent (or replacement) at the same time.
