Thanks for your input folks. I'd rather not go down the LAMP route as there is just too much learning curve there for me for this project. I can already handle C# and MSSQL and have found designing sites in VS2005 with ASP.NET 2 intuitive to someone coming from a purely fat client background, so that's why I was looking at that avenue.
