Thanks, Stephen. The 2nd one, fastpartsinc, got my attention because I really like their website layout. So I called their # and spoke with Bob. We got past the shipping-around-the-world problem (not a problem, lots of shippers do it), but he mentioned what he sees to be a show stopper: cars mfg'd overseas don't match cars mfg'd here; that is, a '68 Ford Falcon's parts aren't the same between here, and say, Pakistan. Good link though, because this guy knows the business and hooking my guy and him up is probably the best course of action for me to handle this situation. I would have preferred putting him in touch with a VFP developer, but I guess nobody is working in that dept. My overly simply concept, which may still have some applicability, is for a yard like this guy's to take electronic photos of each car in his lot and put the photos up on the web with just make/model data for searching - and let searchers find him and call for more info about the specific car of interest. Not a 100% solution by any means, but a big step better than nothing. Then I stepped into blue skies <s> and imagined him having a set of cameras around the yard, on poles, say, with remote users in India aiming the cameras to take closer looks at cars in his yard. In a way, I see this as an interesting application - because it's easy to imagine someone in Oshkosh with a car that only needs one part to get running, but can't find that part.
