Windows is waiting for some connection to finish which may be hung up. If it worked at one time, try uninstalling the Linksys. The uninstall command is in one of the entries on the Start menu. Then reinstall the Linksys.

Pull the power plug on the Linksys then plug it back in. This will reset it in case it has a problem with connecting.

Subject: [NF] Slow XP Shutdown

My Toshiba Laptop shuts down slowly -- 5 - 15 minutes.

If I first remove the PCMCIA LINKSYS WPC54-G WIRELESS PC CARD, shutdown is prompt.

What do you suggest?

Is there a NET command to do the samething? I could first run it from a Batch file before shutting down.

Thank you.
