=> A person could have a gps transmitter on a truck that sends
=> an update every
=> 2 hours with the date, time, truck number, longitude and latitude.
=> A receiver could be at the office to receive that data
=> stream and feed this information into a FoxPro Database.
=>
=> All the while You could have a large screen tv with this map
=> on it that automatically refreshes every 15 minutes and
=> queries the up to date data.
=>
=> By doing this, you would always know the location of your
=> trucks and be able to keep an eye on them.
=>
=> Anybody have anything like this ??
=>
=> A sample of the map I'm referring to is on my web site under

This idea has been implemented dozens of times with mixed results. Some people
love it and others hate it.

I was involved with one of the first back in 1994-5. They are out of business
now but I don't know why. It was a novel concept back then but it is old news
today.
