I use UKREG for domain name registration They are part of Fast Hosts. They charge less than £3.00 per year and do all domains including .com for a slightly more annual charge. You pay for two years with .co.uk, .biz etc and one year for .com. When you register they will do a small hosting and or email free of charge. They then let you administer your domain and point it at the new DNS etc.
I have a retailers hosting on Arvixe.com from which I host over 100 web sites for £30.00 per month. They do Linux hosting mainly with CPanel the set up panel for each of my clients. This gives the ability to set up email address ftp etc and a file upload facility. As a retailer I get Web Host Manager which allows me to administer all the sites under me.
