Pro: The hWnd window handle of a top level form is a real window handle
that you pass to Win32 API functions that change a form's transparency,
shape (allowing an irregular shape), etc. See news2news.com for
examples. Forms that are created within a top level form don't have
'fully functional' hWnd window handles. Fully functional is a poor
choice of words but its the best I can come up with on a few hours sleep
;)

Con: It is possible, but somewhat awkward to put toolbars and report
previews in top level forms.
