SaaS is an experience that can be viewed via a diversity of equipment. Think of Facebook as the most widely used SaaS type of application across the world in league with gmail or other web based mail system. Security? They seem to do a very good job a stopping attacks, FB sells the crap out of your allowance of data to be used. Is it safe? Depends on how good you are at setting up security within your application. duh! From outside hackers hitting the data center I would say that your data is safer there then in your private racks at the within your company. Using FB again as an example now you can see that FB is a multi OS targeted application. You have handheld devices with software apps to do the FB thing. You can do it on a tablet as well as a PC, mac, nix box via a browser. That is what I consider a service. -- Stephen Russell 901.246-0159 cell _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAJidMYLHjwEngx7wXsf6RPi_x6OUunE_DnewyEEg4VrOt=k...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
