People normally use SaaS to refer to traditional productivity applications that are hosted in the cloud, and usually employ a subscription model. So Gmail is a mail client, and is free, the Office 365 stuff is an office suite, and isn't free. Facebook is just a website. Well, okay, it's a web application in strict terms, but I wouldn't put it under the SaaS heading. Productivity application it isn't. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
