Having nothing to go on but a swag, I'd suggest you just select half the contacts (A-M) and see if you still get the error. If so, slice that batch in half, and half again, until you have a clue if there is a single record causing the problem. (Hint: Try a single one first, just to see if you have a broken Outlook install) I have contacts from the CompuServe days and have moved through a couple of PIMS and some accented characters got lost in the DOS code page -> ANSI -> DBCS -> Unicode translation process.
