www.clear.com has an unlimited 4G router designed for the home, which would be 
perfect for me except it's not yet available in my area.

For those who have 4G, is it noticeably faster than average broadband?

Impossible to say without knowing the usage patterns. Do you stream
TV/movies? Listen to internet radio stations? Torrent things? Or just
check the odd email?
