Kevin, Based on what was said on the list, I decided to just recommend using laser labels in their laser machine and feed them by hand. It has worked out very well. Of course our application is postal and FEDEX labels, which are two to a sheet. All they have to do is feed it in manually, print, then turn the sheet around and feed the second label in. Since the shipping area is where they print the labels, there is no problem hand-feeding the labels
What kinds of labels will you be printing? ________________________________ From: Kevin Cully <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 9, 2012 9:21 AM Subject: [NF] Brother BL-580N Label Printer Hello. I was perusing through the ProFox archives about the discussion on label printers. (Thanks to Ed for the excellent resource!) I saw positive reviews on the Zebra label printers but they seem like overkill for this light-duty purpose. I have a need to print labels from a VFP application, from about 10 different application users. Probably just 10 labels a day or less. I was looking at the Brother BL-580N http://amzn.to/IVESpE I have had good results with Brother printers, and with this label printer being networkable, it is very appealing for the price. Opinions? Alternatives? Thanks, Kevin _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
