Just as an additional piece of info you can also back up from an FTP Server to
another FTP server as well as your local drive.

and my version is V5.13.0.5

My paid for version (Syncback SE) allows you to back up FROM an FTP Server

I downloaded the free version to take a look. The files I want to backup are on
the ftp server. Explain: I want to copy files from an ftp server to a local
drive. Syncback will backup to a ftp server, but I don't see any way to do the
opposite. On their web site there is no way to contact them (pre-sales question)

Sytze: I use Syncback also (love it BTW) and it sometimes fails on a system
file that is in use and it tells me it failed. When I look at the log, it
tells me that everything was backed up except the files it failed on. I also
verified many times that everything is backed up except those files. That is
fine with me.

YMMV
