The drives are mapped in a login script, and that is working fine. It's just 
that a
few times per week, during the workday, all the shares get disconnected (red x 
on the
mapped drive in explorer). No big deal for just using files on the shares 
because
Windows will reconnect as needed, but for database apps that need a steady
connection, it's a killer.

There is a domain: Samba acts as the Primary Domain Controller.
