[sorry I haven't replied yet: my mail filtering misfiled all leafe mailing list

There is a domain: Samba acts as the Primary Domain Controller.
What's the server setting for "os level" in the [Global] section of
/etc/samba/smb.conf? (Your path may vary)
That's the path, and os level is set to 64. It's been set that way since 10-22-2004,
when it was changed from 65. Unfortunately I wasn't detailed in the subversion log
entry as to why I changed it.
Is there anything in the logs of the Win7 client machines? This looks
exactly like situations I've seen where a Win7 workstations tried to
force an election.
I looked through the event logs a few times and never found anything related to an
election being forced. I can't go on while workers are there so maybe tonight after
trick-or-treating I'll check again.
What I did after writing that last message was to set up a script on the server to
ping all Windows 7 machines once a minute. After I did that, I haven't received any
reports of trouble. It may be this is the workaround so I can move on to greener
pastures.
