There is already a vendor based system SBT/AccPac in place for this.
My job it to create a new invoice run that will take all of the data just
generated and put it on a copy of the invoice report. I will toss in cust#
and date for the file name. I will gen the file and then push out the
invoice on an email attachment to same customer.
Have to do same thing with statements as well. JOY!
Well, I did that all myself some years back. I described the
basics in another post. I revised my report classes to allow for PDF
output and added another program for sending the E-mail.
The snail mail fees are getting in the way. Will also be able to put in a
single Inv# and have it kick that one out as well as the reprint issue will
always get someone's attention.
I had to deal with allowing multiple invoices and other things
(statements, for one) having to be attached to the E-mail. That is
why E-mailing is separate from printing.
