Maybe it's my bad English but, are you actually saying that actually you
check your tablet (Waze) while you are driving? Is there an app that will
warn other drivers that you are checking YOUR app so they may be able to
get as far as possible from you?

I look the phone zoomed out and it uses color code for traffic conditions.
I take 70% freeway and I drive against traffic. When I see the backups I
may reroute around it.
So yes I do glance at it while driving.
