Going to COBRA is very expensive and really designed for short term use.
There are many group health insurance options out there.  My wife and I
have even discussing not having health insurance.  If we don't have any
surgeries or major illnesses then why spend all that money every month
just to see a doctor maybe once a year.  I would compare it to the
extended warranty offered at Best Buy or similar electronic stores.  It
is better not to get them your money for the extended warranty and put
away a little each month for maintenance for when it is needed.  Good
