Just some comments based on my experience with the cloud .. I have become a big proponent of the Cloud, but you have to realize that the cloud is not really virtualized servers which are located in a Colo The cloud is in most cases a SAAS, where you pay a company for the use of the application on the internet, The something can be a telephone system, a backup file server, an entire CRM , or just hosting a mssql or oracle server , or email server. You can, with proper knowledge, host just an os on Rackspace or Amazon /godaddy etc.. and get a command prompt, or windows start button, on a virtualized machine, but you can't expect a VFP app to work the same over this type of internet environment as well as an in house local network.

It seems to me don't do it is the best advice. But I have a better idea of the answer to give now. It does seem to me that many so called IT guys have had cloud stuck on they little minds as the answer to life the universe etc. I do wonder, as I am trying to translate from Spanish, if the meaning of it is cloud. I hope not. And even worse citrix.
