I agree that going out of scope is a pain. I do wish it ignored the var
doing that. Would have been a good fix.

I have not had problems with the debugger changing things (except for
causing extra events to fire). It has been a bother when what I need to
debug is way down there and deals with events.
Breaks I find awkward, because when a variable goes out of scope, a
break occurs. When debugging a complex program, the break variable may go
in and out of scope many times before finally getting to the area that I
wish to debug. I gave up on breaks.
