My take.
I have my main prog which uses OCX's running on 8. Better than 7 in my
opinion.
Ok, since XP, M$ has stopped the use of program files to put things in other
than the basics (not updatable stuff). Matter of opinion as to if you should
or not anyway as all they have done is move it to ProgramData. And you can
get over it by altering permissions anyway. Only problem I had is using
csMail.dll which needs a help and admin mode to register. Otherwise I have
no problems in 8. Windows 8.1 has a better start menu right click though so
upgrade to 8.1
I also program on 8.1 (and 7) and have no problems other than the usual
debug falling over.

I have a client that just got a Windows 8 box and I need to install my
application in that new OS
1. Any recommendations on how and where to install the VFP 9 SP2 ?
2. Any caveats with running the compiled exe?
3. Any suggestions?
I know this has been discussed before, but I just need a quick summary of
all the discussions, please.
