Hey folks,
I know this kinda of topic has been discussed before - re:16-bit apps
running under a 32-bit OS. But, I normally figured the problem happens
w/REALLY Old SW - like FoxPro for Win Apps attempting to run under like
Win7 or Win8. But, in my case - its Photoshop Elements. Essentially a
"cut-down" version of Photoshop. I have the Older version of the program
- been running it for a number of years on different systems of mine.
Its running fine on my laptop under Vista. '
So - i tried installing it on my newest Desktop - running Win7.
Previously when I tried it - I got some error message window during the
install. But, NOW - I just tried installing it again - to get more
feedback - and NOTHING Comes up after the Win UAC window is displayed
and I hit YES. Its just like nothing happens!
Although - when I go into Processes in Task Manager - I now see SEVEN
Instances of a 32-Bit Setup Launcher running - confirming I attempted
SEVEN Times to install it (the last 2 times - I did it just to see where
a process would show up - since there was Another process that had 4
occurrences - but, it did NOT Gen another occurrence upon trying to run
the Setup again - and that's when i found this Other 32-Bit process).
What can I do? Do I need to run some kinda VMWare - and then I can
Install & Run this older PS App? Or - any work-around to get it to
install normally under Win7 - and then just USE this App under Win7?
