It's very much a use-case thing. If you only have word processing and spreadsheet needs, you don't need to interoperate with MS Office (or you do but not with complicated documents), and you have no automation requirements, and you don't mind it looking like a shareware package then by all means go for Libre. Otherwise there's a reason everyone uses MS Office and that is because like it or not it is by far the best in breed.
