Hi Jeff, I've seen this 2 times last week! It's some kind of adware.
Try the following: - From the black screen press ctrl+alt+del and run Task Manager. - Click on file -> run and type 'control'. This opens control panel. - Uninstall the latest program that was installed. - Open Internet Options and remove all plugins, search providers etc that look dodgy. Reboot.
