Another vote for TwoFox to convert to-and-from VCX and SCX based files.

I've been using https://bitbucket.org/ for storing my projects. BitBucket can use Git and Mercurial.

I like Mercurial better, but Git is much more popular by usage so I use Git.

I use Smart Git Hg ( http://www.syntevo.com/smartgit/ ) because it runs on Windows and Linux (and Mac OS X).

That worked!

Hovever, what you write inside the cmd file should be:

cd\myapp
myapp.exe

(it is like if you were writing a bat file)

as oposed to the syntax using the run command shown in that article. If I use RUN I just get a quick flicker on the screen but nothing else. With the bat syntax above it works like a charm.

Thank you for the lead

I know this is very basic. I am trying to change the desktop icon on a DOS application and on a Windows application. I go to properties, select icon, choose one from the many available (for the DOS app) or select the one that automatically appears (Windows app), but all I get is a blank icon, shaped
as a sheet.
