T-SQL and SharePoint nowadays for outside of our ERP system. InFor, our
ERP vendor, has made a complex tool know as ION that is a listener on top
of the system/data that will pick up every type of transaction and allow
you to workflow it if necessary. Every year we route more functionality
through it. Our initial use was to replace hundreds of GL workbooks that
were created every month for sophisticated GL analysis. Last year we put
in a maintenance package to deal with parts for all of our plants, EDI, and
we just activated a logistics system as well.
