Gene, I am sure you have tried all of the following, but thought I might check regarding the record validation thing.
Are you using data from a table that is part of a database? If so, do you have both field and row level validations specified in the dbc? Are you using buffering and CursorGetProp() and related functions/methods to check for field/row level changes? If yes to all above, just ignore this message...... If no to any of the above, that might be part of the problems you are having with the validations.
