The File Transfer feature in TeamViewer is good. If I'm going to pay
annually, I might as well stick to TV.

If file transfer is a critical component to your remote support needs, I still
think LogMeIn is the superior product. I realize that the rather abrupt way LMI
went from mostly free to a pay only model left a bad taste in a lot of people's
mouths, you get what you pay for, imo. If free is the most important thing then
VNC.

I recall the name from a decade ago. I think I used to use them at one point.
Can't recall why I dumped them (but it was a legitimate reason, if memory
serves me right).

Mike,
I pay $120/year for join.me light. https://www.join.me/pricing - limited to 5

I bought a TeamViewer (TV) license a few years back and it's the
purchased one-and-done lifetime license. TeamViewer's business model
has changed and they've been pushing annual licenses now for over a
year. I like my TV license and it works great for me; I don't see the
need to upgrade to the latest. That said, I wondered if others are
using another tool they enjoy and isn't expensive. Prior to TV, I
used to use LogMeIn (LMI) but then their licensing prices went up too.
What's your current remote support tool of choice (other than UltraVNC
etc. I wasn't a fan of VNC as YES, IT WORKED, but it wasn't as easy
and user-friendly as TV or LMI. My clients on the other end of the
support connection are NOT tech folks. I needed it to be super simple
and that's what TV/LMI gave me.
