Juergen,

That sounds entirely reasonable, only I haven't seen the DE as record # 6.
Maybe it's a DE cursor at record 6 with a bad path.

*Still* I would totally open up the Login form as a DBF NOUPDATE and take a
look. I'd be entirely happy to be wrong.

Hey Kurt - to spell it out for you...I never wrote to look at the DBC. Open
the form as a table.

USE <hard coded path to logon2 form>/Logon2.SCX SHARED NOUPDATE
GOTO 6

The DE is in the Properties memo field if used. Check the ClassLoc memo
field or the Methods memo field or even the Reserved8 memo. If you see
*any* relative pathing, take note of it. I assume you'll make a
backup....Now open the SCX as a table but leave off the NOUPDATE clause.
Hard code the direct path(s). Close the table, recompile the form.

Can you open/run the form? If so, great! If not, check the changes.

Assuming you can get it working, now you want to change the hard coded
path(s) to a correct relative path(s), if relevant. Actually, one of your
relative paths in your example looked funny to me. How is it done?
Basically rinse and repeat. One step at a time.

If none of this works, still open the form as a table and go to record 6
NOUPDATE. Set the memo field to a monospaced font. Go into all the memo
fields, click in the memo field, then select Ctrl + A. Do you see a hidden
character that you don't see in other records? It's conceivable there's a
rogue character in one of the memo fields.

Otherwise, just send it to me, we'll talk and I'll figure it out.
