No - error is not coming from a DBC. I spent this afternoon working with my networking guy - trying to figure it out. Like if I'm missing files or something is corrupted. HE Also has a local copy of the system on his C: drive. He copied the EXE I created that's on the server, the same EXE I've been trying to run - and it works on HIS PC locally - but, not on mine. At this point - he has suggested I just copy down the whole system again from the Server to my PC - which I am doing right now. It's going to take an hour to copy the files. So - I'm going to leave it and let it run overnight. Then come back Mon. Morning and try testing things again!
So - yeah - I'm heading out of here shortly... -K ________________________________ From: ProFox <[email protected]> on behalf of Richard Kaye <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 21, 2025 3:17 PM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: RE: Backlink Issue w/Form&Proj NOT re:DBC [You don't often get email from [email protected]. Learn why this is important at https://aka.ms/LearnAboutSenderIdentification ] Is the backlink error coming from the VALI DATA? If so, open that DBC EXCUSIVE, run VALIDATE DATABSE <dbcname> RECOVER. That should repair the DBC itself. PACK it when you're done. Make backups before you start. : - ) -- rk From: ProfoxTech <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Kurt Wendt Sent: Friday, March 21, 2025 3:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Backlink Issue w/Form&Proj NOT re:DBC RK - I just tried the FREE TABLE <form.scx> thing - and VFP stated "... is not part of a Database." I kinda figured that was not an option - since a Table must be part of a DBF in order to Set it Free! Heck - at this point - I'm trying anything. I even compiled an EXE in the Live system area - copied that EXE over to my C: drive testing area - ran it - and get the Same Backlink error. I'm pulling my hair out on this - and I don't have any hair left to pull out! ________________________________ From: ProFox on behalf of Richard Kaye Sent: Friday, March 21, 2025 3:01 PM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: RE: Backlink Issue w/Form&Proj NOT re:DBC [You don't often get email from [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
