I have been using VFP since 1997 and already started learning SQL Server, lest the vultures (ie obsolescense) make a feast out of me. I started out by reading a book by Miriam Liskin, about a fisherman who wrote a program using DBase III Plus. Funny if you think of it, for a fisherman to write a computer program, but very useful at the time. It was an eye opener. My first program, written in DBase III Plus, was accounting for port expenses for a shipping company I was working for.
Well, it is 8:00 PM here, so I'll shut my systems down for the day, a very torrid summer day here in the Southern Hemisphere.
