I think I'll get into this (though I know I shouldn't). You (USA) are 'malevolent invaders/occupiers/conquerors', and you've been this way a long long time. Need I remind you the US actions in central and south America (under republican or democrat govts.)? The murderers you've trained and released in our nations? The dictatorships you helped/ordered into power? The thousands killed and tortured under Washington's orders? We, the rest of the world, perceive you (the USA) for what you are. Now maybe you could change and get your feet off the plate. Then we will surely perceive you for what you'll be. No need for you to concern yourselves about your image. It will always be plain to see. I would want to stress that I'm referring to US as a nation and not to individual people in this list. It is not my intention to irritate you, it's just my view of the issue and as I live in a free country (Argentina) I'm entitled to it and to express it. Anyway I guess I'm in for some flak. > >> We don't belong there. It's not our fight. All we do is >> inflame things beyond their current status. It is not your business to put away the fire. Enough damage you've already done. And there already are a million people on a mission to hurt you. So stop looking for an easy way out, there is none. You can't play the hero now and get to be the good boy, you're boys no longer so grow up and stop looking for simple and easy solutions. > I know, the Vietnamese didn't > come back at us, but this enemy is different in some significant ways. > And yet I wonder.... but no, you would not step completely out of that section of the world. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
