It's purely for the sake of next quarter's profits instead of investing in a better American worker infrastructure. And let's face it...they know that foreign employment standards are not the same as the US, and they probably can get away with a lot more whereas over here, their overhead costs would be much higher. Note: That's purely a WAG on gut-feeling and not researched.

As long as Joe Foreigner pays the same tax dollars into the American economy, I don't have as big a complaint with it. As it is, we have waaaay toooo many illegals who don't contribute to the tax pot but still take tax dollars out of it for their social services. Others could make a case for that better than I could, I'm sure. Again....as long as it's a level, fair, 50-50 playing field, I can't complain. But then again, if Joe Foreigner is the exact same as Joe <Insert Your Country Here>, why not hire your fellow countryman instead of the foreigner? I don't think that's unfair....I think we all need to take care of our own FIRST, then help the rest of the world. (Cue Stuart Smalley voice:) Is that so wrong? -- Michael J.
