And different values. > > Two of those interests, Big Oil and the MI Complex, > What's "MI" ?? Military-industrial complex. Eisenhower warned of it back in '61 in this paper: http://coursesa.matrix.msu.edu/~hst306/documents/indust.html What we have today would astonish even him. This "machine" gets more money then all the militaries in the world combined. That ME debacle is costing us upwards of a trillion dollars, most of it hidden in future debt - and it's not over. As we speak they've got us up to our asses in two losing wars and are taunting Iran so they can take out their big guns. It's not just the MI Complex or the oil barons. They alone couldn't pull off the sales job that suckered us into that war. That part was covered by the "neocon ideologues" half of the gang; more accurately the "soldiers of Israel" connection, still more accurately "people who used America to further what they believe to be Israel's interests". We don't hear about it in America because their ranks include American big media barons, but there's no shortage of people in Israel who don't agree with them, but they did the con job anyway. > > > > Little people can't take on any of these powers-that-be. Yeah, but on an entirely different scale. > > In the face of all this power, why should anyone bother anymore? > > > It is discouraging! There's too much at stake. These bastards bet our farm on their mission, and we've got to stop them. And it's not enough just to stop their war because that alone wouldn't serve justice, and without justice what they did will haunt us for a very long time to come. > > Because it's not over. Because we're a train headed for a wreck. > > > > > > > I can see your point. Hmmm...wonder how it is to live in Sweden? I > hear the women are cute there and I do like driving Saab > automobiles. ;-) You may be mistaken to think welcome mats are out! The rest of the world isn't holding us in very high esteem these days.
