This would be a great way to retain VFP developers as Windows customers
... and would cost little or nothing to do so.

I see no advantage to alienating such a loyal base of customers. No
matter how much marketing money Microsoft spends, they can not buy the
type of product loyalty and passion that the VFP community brings to the
table.

No other Microsoft product has garnered such a passionate base of
customers.
