I believe only VFP Version 9 Will work with Vista. There also may be permission
issues when installing VFP on Vista just like installing any other app on Vista
as MS has taken on the slogan of "You asked for more security, so we will give
you more security by not letting you install anything, therefore you have a less
likely chance of crashing your computer and blaming it on us..." It is annoying,
but there are ways around it, just like there are ways around everything if you
look hard enough.

Subject: VFP 6/8 on Vista

Hi All,

Has anyone successfully loaded VFP6 or VFP 8 on a Vista Machine and compiled a
EXE.

I need to buy a laptop and all are available with Vista mostly. There are some
old apps which I just dont want to redo but still need to make minor changes now
and then. Will I be able to do that on a Vista machine.

TIA

Ajoy Khaund
