Exactly. There's a very fuzzy line and I'm glad I don't have to be the one
drawing it.

He didn't use the 'n' word, he said "nappy-headed ho's", which to me is bad
but not as bad. Mainly, it was not true, and the insult was directed against
people who were not public figures and had no reason to be targeted.

As it all came down, I'm in agreement with the decisions that CBS and MSNBC
made, and their stated reasons for making them. It appears that they did it
because their employees came down on them because none of THEM would be able
to get away with what Imus has been doing all these years. So, in a sense,
he's been going against the grain on CBS and MSNBC with respect to their
broadcast standards, and that's a defensible reason for the firing.

I never could figure out what 'Imus in the Morning' was doing on MSNBC in
the first place. It did not fit with the rest of the programming.

The other radio shock jocks aren't on CBS so for the time being they're
probably pretty safe.
