Hullo Pete - you said, "How do we (non-rich) start back up to the top?" 1. define your target customer base. 2. market to your target customer base. 3. modify your marketing to match the changing demographic.
You're not a VFP developer, so writing VFP apps as a source of income for you is totally out of the question. You're supposed to be a medical dude, but somehow you keep failing to have good market penetration for the part of town where your practice is set up. Is it a location problem ? The type of marketing you need is the same that chiropractors use - so you SHOULD be mimicing this marketing pattern. You started your practice with a goal in mind - what has prevented you from obtaining that goal? Are you gonna focus on 'loss of goal' and regroup, or are you gonna push forward with a new plan? Do you have a plan, of any sort ? Are you stuck with implementation? Anyway - those are the questions I throw at anyone, not just you, when someone asks 'How do I get more customers?' . For you, I sense it's not the concept of 'web-presence' - You would not really get any benefit from maintaining your site other than as a 3rd-level marketing tool. If you are solely relying on your web-presence to bring more clients to you, then I suggest you go through SEO and remove the Jennifer page (http://www.pete-theisen.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=366&Itemid=69), and start posting your site in as many places as you can. If your other marketing programs fell flat, then design a new one, and go forth. If you aren't booked for at least 20 consults/week, then you've chosen the wrong marketing plan. Refactor it, try again. If you understand the demographics for your customer base, then target that demographic. One good 'model' that worked for several of my chiropractic friends - They got IN at the large companies and did : 1. a stand up presentation 2. on-facility initial free exam (not adjustment). The larger companies have an employee benefits person to handle logistics. The smaller firms - this can be handled with the HR person. Pick up the phone, call, make the appointments and go forth. If you need a detailed plan, contact me offlist via email or phone. But - at the top of yer web page - you state, "Retired, practice limited to sincere and committed patients whom I see in their homes." So if you are really retired, why are you concerned with making more money? Mondo Regards [Bill] -- William Sanders / efGroup {rmv the DOT BOB to reply} VFP Webhosting?
