I did a contract for a grocery chain here in texas one year. They were doing it in vfp 3 or 5, whatever was out at the time and they brought a new manager in.
He told us, I know how to use access files, stop what you're doing and put it in access. Many of the managers don't worry about the cost's, because they're not coming out of their pockets. I am two days into a new contract with "another big name company". Well at the end of today I got word that my project changed about 80% from what it started with. It keeps growing and growing! I have to code in VB6 and then do it again in VB.NET because, well just because that is the way they want it. Do it and then do it again. I love this job!
