About 6 or more years ago we had a similar situation here in Memphis.  Kids
at a high school failed to pass their tests to graduate and the parents sued
to let them attend the graduation and be included.  Would you believe the
parents won?  

At the ceremony the students that received their diplomas turned their backs
on the "losers" when it came to their time.  I think that they all stood and
then faced the other way as a demonstration.  I liked their protest.
