I've got some code that ftps jpgs and I'd like to generate some kind of checksum (MD5, perhaps) for each file transmitted. A reference to the file uploaded is now sent in to a web service in an XML file. I'd like to include the checksum as an attribute in the XML to make it easier to detect if the file has changed. In VFP, of course. I see a few options out there and was wondering if anyone here has invented this particular wheel.
