This reminds me of the public transit buses at Penn State (University Park, PA)...they didn't run on gas but instead used propane or perhaps even some sort of hybrid approach. I believe it was intended to cut down on the pollutants, iirc. I'm sure they weren't cheap, but I sure enjoyed them being used instead of the old gas style where they'd dump tons of soot into the air as they pulled away. Not with these "cleaner" models!!! Worth the cost, imo. I'm an asthma sufferer, and I believe the nation is seeing a higher incidence of asthma due to the many more pollutants in the air. People might not have liked Clinton for a number of reasons, but I sure favored his proposal to cut sulfer emissions by some huge percentage. Not sure if Bush repealed that when he took office or not? _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
