No, they feed on attention. Leaving them "unchallenged" is fine,
because nobody with half a brain takes them seriously in the first
place.

More likely the latter. This isn't "news"; this has been a mountain
of lies from the beginning, even to the point that even opponents
like yourself are still tricked into calling this a "war", when it is
actually an occupation.

Attitudes *did* change when things got worse, among people who may
have been initially in favor of the invasion but who later realized
that they were lied to. Those who continue to spew the same talking
points rationalizations are not interested in the truth; they are
only interested in appearing to not have to admit that they were and
are wrong.

It only makes sense to invest time in discussions if they might bear
fruit. Arguing with talking points and dogma is never productive.
