Hi Graham! The cost of living in the Congo is not the same as in West Virginia. When the "rich" programmers are displaced they flood the market for lesser work, impacting the poor who have no options other than the bottom rung. You are lucky if you didn't know that. Have you ever read Milton Friedman?
