Entrepreneurs have always strived to produce their goods (or services) with
less expenditure of capital and labor than their competitiors.  Always.

Well nothing is more "socialized" than capitalism, advances in productivity
are based on the cooperative action of groups of people working together.

What I mean by the collapse of socialism is the collapse of the state
controlled economies of the former communist block, you remember that empire
which
covered the area of the planet from Berlin to Kamchatka -- and while I agree
that that the interventions of governments into the workings of the market
economy make you wonder, no one believes in socialism anymore, not even the
Chinese communist party.
