You still have access to the source code and the community is still
there. If the project stopped dead today, it would still leave me far
ahead of the game had I tried to convert my fox app to python from
scratch. Granted I have not started doing this, but since python is my
next strongest language I have followed Dabo closely should I have to
abandon fox or need my app to become multi-platform. What commercial
multi-platform desktop application python framework did you have in mind
as an alternative?

I guess another thing I see different, is if all else fails and the open
source software that I'm using goes in the crapper, then I see being
able to rely on myself (fixing it, enhancing it or just using it as is)
as an advantage.
