Actually this wasn't my first "experience" with Acer computers...

Back in the late 80's I made a bundle of $$ working for a friends service
depot.  All he did was swap out Acer motherboards for about 6 months.
Apparently there was some sort of flaw on them which they fixed, corporate
customers were given on site replacements of the updated motherboards.

There are good and bad experiences with every company - maybe that is why
there are so many companies out there.  :)

I've had several Acer's over the years. No problems to speak of. Ever
considered the fact that as Acer is a major OEM manufacturer your Dell , HP
etc may well have been made by the same people ?
