I think Ed inadvertently hit upon the problem My scepticism about 'global
warming' has nothing to do with the oil companies... but it acceptance is often
tied to the hatred of them. It's actually hatred of business and love of the
non-productive academics who sit in their ivory towers rendering disdainful
opinions of the common people down below. We are often told of how 'global
warming' is caused by greedy Americans (oh yes, there is a hatred of
traditional American values as well).

Controlling people for their own good to stop 'global warming' is just the
follow up to the attempt to control people for socialistic reasons... which
failed, because socialism is inoperative due to it's complete misunderstanding
of human nature. (Please don't tell me about vibrant European economies with
the socialistic bent... there aint none! They are in worse shape than we are.)

Ed is correct when he says 'follow the money'. Just look how much money is
being poured into questionable projects to help stop 'global warming'. Check
out how much of NASA's budget is focused on that area. Check out how many
academic grants are given to study this pueudoscience!

There are big bucks in 'global warming' and it's propoents are only too happy
to take them from the big oil companies. The problem is that in doing so, they
are taking it from you and me. This may be fine with you, but it's not fine
with me.

What's the old saying... Love of money is the root of all evil.
