Well I think you answered your own question in part. At least some at the SA
staff appear to be disdainful of those who actually work in the business world
to supply the dollars, whether corporate or governmental, for their higher
activity of 'pure research'.

This is the same thinking that leads many academic types to love the concept of
socialism... they like the theory... even though it doesn't work. Oh yes, non
productive academics love non productive academics, I needed to add that in
case you didn't understand that from the obvious.

Right now, just because of the publicity surrounding his foolish remarks, I
would have to say that Ward Churchill is a prime example of a non productive
academic laying sideways in the public trough spouting nonsense, both to his
impressionable students with their heads full of mush and to the public. This
hopefully will really be coming to an end soon. However his is just the tip of
the ice berg. Walk around any college campus and you see professors hiding
from the real world who think they can do a better job than people actually
engaged in commerce and the other pursuits necessary for everyday life. I am
reminded of the quote from GB Shaw: He who can does, he who cannot, teaches.

Yes, I have a college degree, but am as impressed with it as others seem to be.

As far as who I was quoting... I wan't quoting, I was observing. To do that,
you have to open your eyes.
