Consequently, I was at the Dell.com website prior, starting to customize a Vostro small business laptop for purchase, but it wouldn't let me choose WinXP....only hastla Vista. Did you use the common website or some other entry point? Dell was my first choice since my current one is going strong and they're bringing support back to the USA (re: "Gold Plan" support). I heard a rumor not long ago that Gateway was on its way out....but I've liked their products in the past for the most part, and the fact that they kept a lot of support people here in the US made me prefer to deal with them.
